The Operational Command said on Wednesday that during an overnight Russian attack on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones.
At a news conference following a special meeting of the Joint Cybersecurity Operations Center, Deputy Prime Minister and Digitalization Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said reports presented there showed Poland is being targeted by disinformation campaigns, including on social media.
“The amount of disinformation online is constantly rising. Behind this organized action stand the Russian Federation and the Belarusian services. It aims to promote the Russian narrative about who, why and how the drones entered Polish territory,” Gawkowski said on Wednesday.
He did not provide details on the content of the disinformation. He stressed, however, that there was no doubt the drone attack was planned by Russia.
“Ukraine is not dragging Poland into war. Those who claim otherwise are lying. Russia is responsible for this attack,” he said.
Gawkowski added that Poland’s military has full capabilities to repel attacks.
