Polish astronaut announces nationwide tour to inspire students

Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski will visit technical universities and medical schools across the country from October to December, as part of the Ignis – Poland Reaches for the Stars tour.

“I am looking forward to meeting students, pupils, and the wider public to share the story of Poland’s Ignis mission,” Uznański-Wiśniewski said during a press conference at the Warsaw University of Technology, where the post-flight tour will officially launch in mid-October.

“This will be Poland’s first space MasterClass on developing technological solutions," he added. "I am an astronaut, but also an engineer and scientist, and I want to share my knowledge and experience. I hope it will reach a wide audience and inspire the building of our future."

The tour featuring Uznański-Wiśniewski is planned in all 16 Polish provinces in collaboration with 26 universities.
