Prime Minister Donald Tusk said earlier this month that the move, which included shutting rail crossings, was made "for national security reasons" due to the Zapad-2025 war games.
The drills ran from September 12 to 16 in western Russia and Belarus near the Polish border.
Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński said on September 11 that the closure was prompted by “an increasing number of provocations” and attempted illegal crossings.
He cautioned at the time that the restrictions would last "until the situation allows for complete security."
In early September, Warsaw accused Minsk of staging a provocation after the Belarusian KGB security service detained a Polish citizen on espionage charges tied to the exercises.
Relations between Warsaw and Minsk, already tense, have further deteriorated since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
