The Embraer 170, registration SP-LDK, was operating flight LO771 from Warsaw when it left the paved surface during the final phase of the landing roll.

Passengers disembarked safely via mobile stairs and were transported to the terminal, LOT spokesman Krzysztof Moczulski confirmed.

Flight LO772 from Vilnius has been cancelled, while the airline’s technical team, in cooperation with airport authorities, investigates the incident.

Lithuanian media reported that the airport’s Emergency Situations Commission convened immediately after the incident, with the transport minister, justice officials, and airport management in attendance.

The airport was temporarily closed and is expected to reopen at 19:00 local time (18:00 CET).

The incident occurred amid challenging weather in Vilnius, where heavy, wet snow has disrupted traffic throughout the day.
