In a statement published on the X platform, the ministry on Friday warned of growing internal instability in Iran.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Polish citizens to leave Iran immediately and advises against all travel to this country. Please register in the Odyseusz system at https://odyseusz.msz.gov.pl — this significantly increases safety and enables the rapid dissemination of important information," the ministry said in its statement.
The largest anti-government protests in years are sweeping through Tehran and other Iranian cities, driven by the country’s dire economic situation.
On Thursday night, thousands of people took to the streets of the Iranian capital, with demonstrations in some areas escalating into violent clashes.
International news agencies reported that buses and cars were set ablaze, and fires broke out near metro stations and banks.
Video footage from Tehran also captured protesters chanting slogans rarely heard in Iran, including "Death to Khamenei," public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
