The Government Center for Security (RCB) issued an emergency alert to residents of Słupsk County, warning of heavy smoke from the fire. In a public message, authorities urged residents to keep windows and doors closed, remain indoors if possible, and avoid the area surrounding the incident.

Several roads in the area have also been closed as emergency services continue to battle the blaze.

Dawid Westrych, spokesperson for the Pomeranian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, told Polish Radio 24 that firefighters are operating under extremely challenging conditions.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. The blaze engulfed a factory producing aerosol products on Sunday, raising concerns about the presence of flammable substances on the site. According to witnesses, flames have already spread to the roof of the building, while pieces of roofing material have been falling into the surrounding area.

Firefighters fear the fire could spread to neighboring buildings. Efforts to contain the blaze have been complicated by high temperatures and the specific hazards associated with the burning industrial facility.

Local authorities and fire services continue to urge residents to exercise caution, keep windows closed, and stay away from the scene while emergency crews work to bring the situation under control.

No injuries have been reported so far, and authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
