Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on X that he had taken the decision after consulting the PM, in order to remain "accountable to the public."
The claims first surfaced on Saturday, when Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of parliament and leader of the far-right Confederation party, wrote on X that the government had secretly handed Ukraine "expensive and hard-to-buy" Patriot interceptor missiles in March, without informing lawmakers.
He said the missiles had been bought by Poland from the US to help build a multi-layered air defence system, and that they were the only ones in the Polish army's arsenal capable of countering Russian Iskanders.
Mariusz Błaszczak, a former defence minister and now a Law and Justice (PiS) MP, made a similar claim, arguing that if the government had indeed sent the weaponry abroad while itself warning of possible Russian provocations, this would amount to "action completely at odds with the basic duty of the authorities: ensuring the safety of their own citizens."
A presidential minister, Marcin Przydacz, told private broadcaster Polsat News on Sunday it was "very likely" the transfer had taken place, though he stressed the president's office had not been party to any such decision.
Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk declined to confirm the reports, saying the list of donations to Ukraine remains classified.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, announcing the declassification on Sunday, also said Poland's Military Counterintelligence Service would investigate who had sought to leak state secrets in the affair.
Addressing Błaszczak directly, he said: "We are operating in wartime conditions on our border – any action against Poland's national interest endangers the security of Polish citizens."
"You have done this once before, Mr Błaszczak. We will hold everyone accountable for this, regardless of immunity."
Kosiniak-Kamysz added that President Karol Nawrocki – and, before him, Andrzej Duda – was informed of every donation made.
The dispute comes amid already strained relations between Warsaw and Kyiv.
