The government is trying to "balance" its response to the coronavirus pandemic by securing more hospital beds and ensuring unlimited access to vaccination, the official said during a visit to a temporary hospital set up in Wrocław, southwestern Poland.

"Today, we are weighing up various types of mechanisms that may reduce the virus’s transmission, but we are not considering a lockdown," Poland’s Prime Minister said.

On Sunday, the Polish health ministry said that only 3 percent of more than 41,000 Covid-19 deaths were in fully vaccinated people.

On Saturday, Poland reported 15,190 new coronavirus infections and 186 more deaths related to Covid-19.
