As part of the renovation of Warsaw's main stations - from Warsaw West to Warsaw East - services between those two stations have been seriously interrupted since June 25 - a situation which will continue until September 2.
After September 2, the stages of work planned will be successively completed, but disturbances will continue for at least another 18 months. Work on the modernisation of Warsaw West will be completed at the end of 2024 - according to PKP's Projector Director, Marcin Kowalczyk. The final stage for Warsaw West will be the completion of a new pedestrian subway.
Other major developments in the centre of Warsaw include the long-discussed pedestrian connection from train services to Warsaw's Metro service.
Warsaw West is Poland's 8th busiest station with 37 600 passengers daily.
