Andrzej Duda made the remark at a Christmas carol-singing meeting with the Polish Olympic athletes in Warsaw on Monday.
The president said the 2024 Olympics would take place a century after the 1924 Paris Games, where Team Poland had won their first-ever Olympic medals.
He congratulated Polish athletes who had already secured qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and said he was "keeping fingers crossed" so that more Poles would earn spots in Olympic events.
Duda said that "Team Poland will most certainly breach the 300-medal mark" at the Paris Games, having won 298 such Olympic accolades to date.
The president wished Polish athletes "great sporting success" at the upcoming summer Olympics in the French capital, and also congratulated them on medals won at the 2023 European Games, adding the event hosted by Poland last summer had won positive reviews from Europe's Olympic family.
Team Poland have so far won 298 summer Olympic medals, 72 gold, 89 silver and 137 bronze, the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) said.
Polish athletes brought home 14 medals, four gold, five silver and five bronze, from the previous summer olympics, the Tokyo 2020 Games.
