Hospital on fire in Poland's Bydgoszcz

The incident occurred during roofing work involving the application of tar – confirmed by the on-duty officer of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Toruń to PAP.

On Monday afternoon, a fire broke out in the administrative section of the MSWiA Hospital on Ks. Ryszard Markwart Street in Bydgoszcz, igniting the insulation of the pump house building.

One floor of the building was evacuated due to the fire. Seven fire brigades were sent to the scene.

"The fifth floor was evacuated. The number of evacuated people is not yet known. Seven fire brigades are on the scene," report the emergency services.

Due to the numerous fire vehicles deployed near the fire, the access road to the hospital was completely blocked.
