This will be the second address by the head of government since he took office after the last parliamentary elections. The first was delivered on December 30, 2023.
Today marks the 21st anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union. According to Onet, the Prime Minister is expected to address this occasion, along with Flag Day of the Republic of Poland and Constitution Day, which both occur in the coming days.
Donald Tusk is also likely to discuss several topics, including the celebration of the thousandth anniversary of Bolesław the Brave's coronation, economic nationalism, the ongoing conflict beyond the Polish eastern border, the importance of building a strong army, and Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, the first Pole in space in nearly half a century, whose mission is set to begin on May 29.
The Prime Minister's address will fall less than three weeks before the first round of the presidential elections, which will take place on May 18.
