"Let's be together again on Sunday, Poland needs your energy and strength. Because you stopped evil and changed Poland. And you can do it again! Warsaw, Plac Bankowy, at noon!" - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk invited for Trzaskowski's support march on social media on Saturday.
It is rumoured that Tusk will speak at the start of the assembly. The march will also be graced with the participation of a foreign head of state - the president-elect of Romania, Nicușor Dan, who recently defeated a far-right rival in his country. Numerous politicians from the Polish government-forming coalition have also announced their attendance.
Also at noon, a parallel march will set off in Warsaw, in support of the second presidential candidate still in the race - conservative Karol Nawrocki, backed by the formerly ruling now opposition leading Law and Justice party.
According to unofficial information, the Law and Justice chairman Jarosław Kaczyński is to speak at the beginning of the assembly. There has also been speculation that the current President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, who also unequivocally supported the PiS candidate, will join the march.
The second round of the presidential elections in Poland is scheduled for June 1, 2025.
