BMW plows into crowd at Polish car show, injuring 18

Eighteen people were injured, two critically, after a car drove into spectators during a vehicle demonstration in southeastern Poland, police said.

The accident occurred on Sunday, 25 May, in the city of Krosno when a 27-year-old driver lost control of his BMW and struck a crowd of onlookers.

Local police confirmed to Polish Radio that no one was killed, dismissing earlier rumors of a fatality.

Authorities said the driver was sober at the time of the incident.

The case is now under investigation by the district prosecutor’s office in Krosno.
