Poland’s Armed Forces reported that around midnight local time, a Rosomak armored personnel carrier flipped over on a training ground near Załuski, close to the town of Nidzica in northern Poland.

The incident occurred during a nighttime adaptation drive, a routine exercise designed to prepare soldiers for operating vehicles in low-visibility conditions.

One soldier from the 16th Mechanized Division was killed in the accident. Another serviceman sustained minor injuries and is being treated in hospital. His life is not in danger, military officials said.

The family of the deceased has been offered support by the Polish Army.

A military police unit from Elbląg has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
