The incoming Polish leader thanked Stubb for his congratulations in a post on platform X, calling their conversation “good”.

He said they discussed “security architecture, allied cooperation within NATO structures, eastern policy, transatlantic relations and joint action in the Baltic Sea region”, adding that Finland’s recent entry into NATO “enhances our shared security”.

Nawrocki noted that, beyond current affairs, they spoke about history, including the Winter War when Finnish forces resisted the Soviet Union.

“President Stubb invited me to Finland. I hope he will visit Poland soon. Good cooperation is a guarantee of a safe future,” Nawrocki wrote.
