Zbigniew Bogucki, head of Nawrocki’s office, announced on Tuesday that the president was convening the Cabinet Council meeting on August 27 at 9 a.m.

The agenda includes the state of public finances and the budget, as well as progress on major investment projects such as the planned hub airport between Warsaw and the central city of Łódź and the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant.

Other issues will include measures to protect Polish farmers from the impact of agricultural imports following the European Union’s trade agreements with Ukraine and the Mercosur group of South American countries, Bogucki said.

Nawrocki first announced the meeting in his inauguration address on August 6.

Paweł Szefernaker, the president's chief of staff, said last week that Nawrocki also wants to discuss the future of legislative proposals he has submitted to parliament.
