Nawrocki invited Lithuania’s President Gitanas Nausėda, Estonia’s President Alar Karis, Latvia’s President Edgars Rinkevics and Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

The leading topic of the meeting was security in the Baltic Sea region, as well as Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and "the state of peace talks conducted under the leadership of President Donald Trump,” the Polish President’s Office said on X.

Marcin Przydacz, head of the president's International Policy Bureau, said Zelensky’s participation reflected a “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine” approach.

He said key topics included the battlefield situation, political dynamics around negotiations, and prospects for a ceasefire, adding that Poland wanted to hear Kyiv’s perspective.

Przydacz said the consultations were part of preparations for next week’s White House visit.

Nawrocki aims to “gather voices” from regional countries, and Thursday's meeting was the first major event he hosted.

On Friday, Nawrocki will speak by phone with Moldova’s President Maia Sandu and on Saturday with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, his aides said.

He will travel to Washington on September 3 at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, his first foreign trip after taking office on August 6.
