The General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces said that if downed drones or fragments are found, people should not approach, touch, or move them, and should instead call the emergency number 112 or contact the nearest police unit.
In a post on platform X, it cautioned that drone debris can remain dangerous and must be inspected by sapper patrols.
“Please report any find to 112 or the nearest Police unit. This will allow services to quickly and effectively secure the area,” the statement said.
Poland’s Operational Command of the Armed Forces said the country’s airspace was repeatedly violated by drones during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday amid Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
It described the breaches as “unprecedented in scale,” calling them “an act of aggression” that posed “a real threat to the safety of our citizens.”
The command said defensive procedures were activated immediately on the order of the Operational Commander.
