The General Command of the Armed Forces said in a statement on social media that the incident occurred on September 19, 2025, and that the soldiers’ families were receiving full support.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki expressed his condolences, saying he had received the news "with deep sadness" and offering "solidarity in pain" to the families.
"May God have their souls in His care," he added.
Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz also offered his sympathies on social media, calling the news "extremely sad" and extending "the deepest condolences" to the soldiers’ families.
"The causes of the incident are the subject of an investigation conducted by a special commission set up to clarify this tragic event," the General Command said.
No further details about the circumstances of the training or the identities of the soldiers have been released.
