Minister Motyka said energy cooperation between the two countries has remained strong regardless of which governments are in power in Warsaw or Washington.

"We need a stable partner, one we've worked with for years – and in the energy sector, that partner is the United States," he said.

The cooperation covers LNG gas deliveries, nuclear power technologies, infrastructure development and projects aimed at boosting energy independence.

Motyka also noted that Poland's infrastructure is now fully ready to channel American gas to Central Europe.

As part of the Washington visit, the Polish delegation held talks with the American Petroleum Institute.

"Poland's expanding LNG infrastructure and stable gas contracts are positioning the country as a key energy partner in the region," the ministry said on X following the meeting.

The delegation also took part in a debate with Polish and American government representatives and international experts at the Atlantic Council.

Minister Motyka is accompanied in Washington by Wojciech Wrochna, the Polish government's envoy for strategic energy infrastructure.

The two are due to meet US Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who also chairs the National Energy Dominance Council.
