Speaking at the Baltic Sea Security Talks conference in Gdańsk on Thursday, the king said the Poland-Sweden partnership was "closer than ever", adding that as NATO allies and EU members, "unity and solidarity make us stronger".
"As two leading Baltic Sea nations, we share both an interest in and responsibility for safeguarding stability in our region," he told delegates.
The conference was organised by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, the Swedish Embassy in Warsaw and Business Sweden, and was attended by senior ministers from both countries, including Poland's Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Sweden's Pal Jonson and Maria Malmer Stenergard.
A representative of Polish President Karol Nawrocki told the conference that the Baltic Sea had become "not a line of division, but a line of connection" between the two countries, a shift driven by Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Thursday marked the final day of the Swedish royal couple's three-day state visit to Poland.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia also visited Warsaw, where they met President Nawrocki, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and senior parliamentary officials.
Earlier in Gdańsk, the royal couple toured the Museum of the Second World War and the European Solidarity Centre, and met former Polish President Lech Wałęsa.
The visit was accompanied by one of the largest Swedish business delegations ever sent abroad, comprising 65 representatives.
