On occasions like Easter, deeply rooted in Polish tradition, the country's political leaders usually take to social media to convey wishes - and that's exactly what happened prior to Easter Sunday.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk took to social media twice with his share of Easter wishes. On Good Friday he posted a short entry on X, and on Holy Saturday he uploaded a longer video there.

In the latter, PM Tusk addressed, among other things, the current geopolitical situation around the world - also quoting the lyrics of famous Polish late 1960s hit "Dziwny Jest Ten Świat" ("Strange Is This World") by Czesław Niemen - "There are more people of good will / and I believe that this world / will never perish thanks to them".

The chairman of Poland's formerly-ruling-now-opposition-leading Law and Justice conservative party, Jarosław Kaczyński, also posted his Easter video on X on Saturday - conveying wishes of "the victory of good over evil".

As of 10 p.m. on Saturday, no Easter wishes were posted on social media by Law and Justice backed President Karol Nawrocki.

Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Radosław Sikorski, took to X to wish everyone "Hope that strengthens, peace that unites, and the good that is present every day".

Another Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, posted a video wishing "a healthy, peaceful Easter - full of hope, closeness, and good moments with loved ones".

Quite an unorthodox (and objectively charming) way of dabbing in Easter spirit was chosen by two of the Left's leading figures: Lower House Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and Senate deputy speaker Magdalena Biejat. They posted links to a youtube video in which they share a kitchen and jointly work on preparing a vegan pâté for their Easter tables.

Włodzimierz Czarzasty also posted a separate Easter wishes video on his X profile, in which he asked Polish politicians across the board to greenlight changes in law, so that "all people who got married abroad will have the right to spend Easter in Poland as married couples".
