Presidential spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz reported the matter on social media. He wrote that the emergency services forced open the door and entered the apartment while the residents were away.
As he added - for several days now, "Poland's emergency services have been paralyzed by false reports targeting journalists and public figures associated with the right wing". He also informed that a meeting regarding the issue was held late on Saturday evening between the head of the President's Cabinet, Paweł Szefernaker, and the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, Marcin Kierwinski.
A Polish State Fire Service statement confirmed that a text message reporting a possible fire and a threat to life was received on the evening of May 23rd at President Nawrocki's family member home address. Another report for the same location followed, this time concerning a sudden cardiac arrest. The Fire Department emphasizes that any threat to life or health is treated with the utmost seriousness by the services, and requires an immediate response.
Poland's Minister of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, announced that he had urgently convened a meeting of the services subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration, dedicated to the issue in question.
"As a result of the inspection of the apartment, no fire hazard or injured persons were found; the premises were empty. Due to the situation, the Police are conducting an investigation to determine the perpetrators" - Ministry of Interior and Administration spokeswoman, Karolina Gałecka posted on social media, adding that emergency services arrived at the scene immediately, and had to enter the premises facing no response in a possible life-saving situation.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that this is the second such incident in recent days. "I am in constant contact with ministers and services and have also expressed my solidarity with the President. I have called a government briefing for Sunday morning. The actions of the provocateurs are aimed at state security" - the Prime Minister emphasized in his post.
"We will use all available methods to identify and catch the saboteurs, regardless of where they come from or who directs them" - Donald Tusk concluded.
