According to Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks covered a broad range of topics, including Polish-Ukrainian relations, historical matters such as opening Ukrainian archives, the situation of Ukrainian citizens living in Poland, economic cooperation, and Ukraine’s path toward membership in the European Union.
Following the meeting, Bosacki reaffirmed Poland’s unwavering support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. He emphasized that, in addition to wartime cooperation, both sides discussed expanding economic ties, improving people-to-people relations, and addressing sensitive historical issues.
Bosacki also expressed optimism that the recent meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Lublin would mark the beginning of a new phase in bilateral relations.
Ahead of her meeting with Bosacki, Vereshchuk stressed the importance of maintaining an “honest and open dialogue” with Poland, particularly on issues related to historical memory. She noted that President Zelenskyy had instructed Ukrainian institutions to strengthen cooperation with Poland regarding archival documents.
