Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka made the statement while speaking to journalists on Wednesday in Washington.
"The final decision, of course, belongs to President Trump, and we keep repeating that," she said.
She declined to discuss possible locations but confirmed that a "short list of potential locations" exists.
Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said she and Deputy Defence Minister Paweł Zalewski were in Washington holding talks with US officials, including Pentagon official Elbridge Colby, who oversees the review.
She said the Americans had offered "a lot of warm words" about Poland's preparation.
Colby, guest of honour at an event celebrating Poland's armed forces at the Polish embassy in Washington, again called Poland a "model ally."
He said Poland's defence spending of 4.8 percent of GDP was not just a number on a chart, but a real combat capability, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
He said the Pentagon was "actively working" on implementing Trump's instructions to strengthen the US military presence in Poland, and was in the process of negotiating arrangements regarding that presence, he said, according to the PAP news agency.
He also said Poland had embraced the idea of "NATO 3.0," under which Europe takes more responsibility for its own defence, before the Trump administration formulated it, PAP reported.
Patriot missile centre
A decision could come sooner on a service centre in Poland for PAC-3 missiles used in the Patriot air defence system.
Polish defence ministry officials are due to meet representatives of Lockheed Martin.
"I think this decision will be made within a few, or a dozen or so, days," Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said.
Missiles needing servicing are now sent to the United States, a process that takes more than a year. A Polish centre would cut that to a few months for all European users, she said.
She said the centre could be a first step towards producing the missiles in Poland. The US side, she said, "does not hide its doubts" about basing such production in Ukraine, partly over the security of production lines.
Asked about US troop numbers in Poland and a suspended rotation, she said she would raise the matter with Colby on Thursday.
The ministry is due to give details on Friday.
She said there was no "hidden agenda" behind a decision to postpone a Washington visit by Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The trip was delayed because Chinese leader Xi Jinping is visiting the US capital, and a new date is expected within weeks, she told reporters.
