Tusk summoned the interior, digital affairs, education and health ministers, as well as the government minister coordinating the country's security services and the chief of police, for a meeting at 1 p.m., Szłapka said on X.
Two violent incidents have been reported at Polish schools this week.
On Thursday, a 15-year-old former student attacked three school employees with a sharp object at a school in the village of Leszczydół-Nowiny near the town of Wyszków, some 50 km northeast of Warsaw.
A 37-year-old school janitor was killed and two other people were injured, authorities said.
Also on Thursday, authorities said police had detained a 17-year-old in the central town of Sierpc who planned to carry out an attack at a school and had two knives in his backpack.
A day earlier, a 19-year-old attacked schoolmates and teachers with a knife at a vocational school in Ostrołęka, 120 km northeast of the capital, injuring five students, two teachers and two other people.
Prosecutors said police later found a homemade explosive device in his backpack that the assailant had attempted to detonate at the school.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Barbara Nowacka on Thursday announced a new effort to strengthen school safety procedures in emergency situations.
The programme, developed jointly with the interior ministry, will be modeled on an existing school safety initiative conducted in cooperation with the defence ministry, Nowacka said.
She said every school would hold at least one session this year focusing on emergency safety procedures.
The education ministry will also distribute a safety guide for children and teenagers covering various threats and ways young people can respond to them, Deputy Education Minister Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz said.
The guide will be aimed at students in first through seventh grades of primary school and will come in two age-specific versions, she said.
The ministry also plans to train 7,500 school principals, with more than PLN 45 million (EUR 10 million) allocated for the effort, according to Piechna-Więckiewicz.
