Several years ago it was Gen. Hodges who oversaw the deployment of the first NATO soldiers on the military alliance's eastern flank.
Hodges, who recently came to Poland to speak at the Warsaw Security Forum, talked to Polish Radio’s Wojciech Cegielski.
He said that recent agreements signed by US President Donald Trump and Polish President Andrzej Duda could effectively deter Russia but NATO needs to maintain combat readiness in Europe.
