V4 united on foreign policy, COVID-19 measures

The parliamentary Speakers of the regional Visegrad Group (V4) held an online conference on Tuesday to discuss cooperation and a common stance in the face of the COVID-19 crisis and with regard to EU foreign policy issues.

The meeting was called by Polish parliamentarians, whose country holds the V4 rotating presidency.

“We mostly saw eye to eye on supporting freedom and the democratic aspirations of the great Belarusian nation. Likewise on the issue of EU enlargement. Hopefully accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania are to start soon. It was a good meeting,” Polish upper house Speaker Tomasz Grodzki said.
