Heger and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will also discuss ways of combating the COVID-19 pandemic, said Piotr Mueller, the spokesman for the government in Warsaw.

In January, Poland sent medics to neighbouring Slovakia to help carry out tests for the coronavirus there. Poland also took in patients from Slovakia and provided them with hospital treatment.

Slovakia earlier this year reported one of the world's highest fatality rates from COVID-19.
