The project has been long opposed by Poland and other governments in the region as it aims to send Russian gas to Germany via the Baltic Sea, bypassing the Baltic states, Poland and Ukraine.
“Our American partners are aware of Poland’s criticism over that gas link and all decisions leading to its completion,” the Polish president’s chief of staff, Krzysztof Szczerski, said on Monday.
“Poland warns against the geopolitical implications of the project, which will be the political accountability of the countries that are building and supporting it,” he added.
