Duda is scheduled to meet with the country’s President Zuzana Čaputová and Prime Minister Eduard Heger to talk about bilateral ties and "hybrid threats from the East," Polish state news agency PAP has reported, citing officials.

“Poland and Slovakia are very close partners in the EU, NATO and the Visegrad Group, and they also carry out joint projects as part of the Three Seas Initiative,” the Polish president's foreign policy adviser Jakub Kumoch told reporters ahead of the visit.

He added that Duda's talks in Bratislava would focus on topics including an escalating migrant crisis on Poland’s border with Belarus.

Duda was initially expected to arrive in Bratislava on Monday evening, but he was forced to delay and shorten his trip amid the border crisis, the PAP news agency reported.
