New Ukrainian ambassador to Poland meets the country's deputy FM

Zvarych, who is to replace outgoing envoy Andrii Deshchytsia, also presented his credentials.

Zvarych and Przydacz also discussed the ongoing agreements between Poland and Ukraine.

According to Poland’s PAP state news agency, the Ukrainian diplomat thanked Polish government for its military and humanitarian support for Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s aggression.

Zvarych also said he was grateful for Poles’ hospitality towards Ukrainian citizens looking for shelter in Poland.

Meanwhile, outgoing ambassador Deshchytsia, has been honoured with a high Polish state decoration for helping develop bilateral ties.

The Commander's Cross with Star of the Polish Order of Merit was presented to him by President Andrzej Duda during a ceremony in Warsaw on Wednesday.

He was originally due to end his tour of duty in Warsaw in February, but his term as ambassador was extended after Russia invaded his country, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
