"If Ukraine was relying on Germany in thsi war, it would already have disappeared as a country," writes the Berliner Zeitung, adding that "Putin would already have won."
Christian Schlueter, a publicist for the Berliner Zeitung, said that this tragedy has been averted because Ukraine "has not lost faith in Europe" and continues to fight, not only for Ukraine but for the whole of Europe.
Schlueter also said that while Ukraine is fighting to save Europe, it is mainly the USA that is sustaining Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
