Slovakia's Zuzana Čaputová will host the event, which will open with a welcoming ceremony outside the Primate's Palace in the Slovak capital at 11 a.m. local time, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Poland's President Andrzej Duda and his regional counterparts are also expected to discuss soaring energy prices and ways to deal with an energy crisis in Europe, "including the need for a green transition," according to the Polish president's office.

The four-nation Visegrad Group (V4) is a regional cooperation platform that brings together Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
