UPDATE: Polish Deputy PM honours veteran and announces Apache helicopter delivery from the US
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz met with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in Washington, where both praised their nations’ robust alliance.
Hegseth called Poland a “model ally” and emphasized its unparalleled commitment to defense spending, including 5% of GDP and 128 military contracts with the US worth $60 billion.
The Pentagon chief thanked Poland for hosting 8,000 American troops and echoed President Trump’s appreciation for Polish leadership.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, in turn, called the moment “a breakthrough” in the relationship and voiced strong support for US efforts to secure lasting peace in Ukraine.
