“He remains in prison to this day - his fate behind bars has been unknown for more than two years,” Sikorski wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The Polish foreign minister also posted a photograph of himself standing alongside Sviatlana Tikhanovskaya, the activist’s wife and a prominent figure in Belarus’s pro-democracy movement.
The head of Polish diplomacy added that Tikhanovsky is remembered daily “by supporting the fight for a free, democratic Belarus.”
His post comes amid ongoing concerns about human rights violations and the suppression of dissent under President Alexander Lukashenko’s authoritarian rule.
