During the visit, Tsikhanouskaya is expected to meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, whom she recently thanked in an emotional message for his role in securing her husband’s release.

The Tsikhanouskis also plan to attend a rally alongside fellow Belarusian opposition activists near the Copernicus Monument in Warsaw at 19:00.

“We continue the fight to free all political prisoners, including Andrzej Poczobut,” Tsikhanouskaya said in a statement.

Siarhei Tsikhanouski was recently released from a Belarusian prison following a visit to Minsk by Keith Kellogg, the U.S. special envoy for Russia and Belarus. His release came alongside 13 other political prisoners, while approximately 1,100 people remain imprisoned in Belarus on politically motivated charges.
