A key focus is Moldova's path toward joining the European Union, the Polish government said in a statement.
During Poland's presidency of the European Union in the first half of this year, a special financial instrument was established to support Moldova—marking the largest EU assistance package for the country since it gained independence in 1991, according to the Polish Prime Minister’s Office.
Last Friday, the first EU-Moldova summit took place in Chișinău, where the 27-nation bloc reiterated its support for Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
That message, officials said, is especially important amid destabilizing actions by Russia, including hybrid attacks aimed at weakening Moldova’s democratic institutions.
While in Warsaw on Tuesday, Sandu is also scheduled to meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda.
Later in the day, she will appear as a special guest at the second day of Poland's annual Ambassadors’ Conference, state news agency PAP reported.
