U.S. diplomats said he will lead the American mission in Warsaw and represent the president in strengthening the strategic partnership between the United States and one of its closest allies, Poland.
Following his nomination on 7 October, Rose said he was deeply honored to be chosen for the post and pledged to promote and defend U.S. interests.
After his confirmation on 8 October, he expressed gratitude for the Senate’s support and said he was eager to begin his work in Warsaw.
Who is Thomas Rose, the new U.S. ambassador to Poland?
Thomas Rose is an entrepreneur, publisher, and political commentator. He studied history and diplomacy at Brandeis University and Columbia University.
In the 1980s, he worked as a journalist in Japan, and from 1997 to 2005 he served as publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post, a leading Israeli daily newspaper.
During President Trump’s first term, Rose was a senior adviser to then Vice President Mike Pence.
