With many Poles expected to travel during the festive period and the school holiday break, the Foreign Ministry is advising travellers to consult up-to-date, country-specific warnings and guidance published by Polish diplomatic missions on the official government website.
The information is available via the Foreign Ministry’s travel advice portal, where users can select their destination country.
The ministry is also encouraging travellers to register their stay abroad through the Odyseusz system, which enables consular services to contact Polish citizens in the event of an emergency.
In addition, travellers are advised to follow updates shared by Polish embassies and consulates on social media, as well as the “Polak za Granicą” profiles on X, which are aimed at Poles living and travelling abroad.
In a recorded message, Poland’s top diplomat directly addressed Poles travelling overseas, stressing the importance of checking official government travel information related to their destination before departure and staying informed throughout their trip.
