The leaders of the E3 group said they were "dismayed by Iran’s indiscriminate and disproportionate missile attacks against states in the region,” the statement said, as quoted by the AFP news agency.
Iran responded to Saturday's US-Israeli attacks by firing on US bases in the region and on Israel, the report said.
Forces from France and Britain are also stationed in the region, and London has already taken part in defensive actions.
A Typhoon fighter jet on Sunday shot down an Iranian drone heading toward Qatar, where a UK-Qatari squadron has been stationed since January, the report said.
The statement said the Iranian strikes “were directed at their (the E3’s) close allies, also threatening our military and civilian personnel throughout the region.”
It added that France, Germany and Britain would discuss their defensive actions with the United States and allies in the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a Sunday interview with ABC News, said some Iranian commanders were killed in the US-Israeli attacks but insisted Iran’s military capabilities were unchanged.
“What we are doing is an act of self-defense,” Araghchi said. “We lost certain commanders, that’s a fact. The names have already been announced. But the other fact is that nothing has changed when it comes to the capabilities of our army.”
The US Central Command said on Sunday, the second day of Operation Epic Fury, that three US soldiers were killed and five seriously wounded, adding that several others suffered minor shrapnel injuries and concussion.
In an interview with Britain’s Daily Mail, US President Donald Trump said he expected the operation against Iran to last four weeks or less.
"It's always been about a four-week process, so as strong as it is—it's a big country—it'll take four weeks or less," Trump said.
