"I hope for a new opening," Morawiecki told the Ouest-France daily and German media group Funke in an interview published on Thursday.
The French daily said that relations between Paris and Warsaw deteriorated after Poland pulled out of a deal to purchase French Caracal helicopters in 2016, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
"There have been some tensions," Morawiecki was quoted as saying by Ouest-France.
But he added that relations between the two countries "are not so bad.”
Morawiecki also said that Warsaw "hopes for Polish-French economic cooperation."
