It cited a White House spokesman as saying that the conversation focused on the two leaders’ upcoming meeting in the Polish capital later this week.
“The President and the First Lady are looking forward to their trip to Poland where they will join other world leaders to mark the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II,” White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement.
The US presidential couple is scheduled to arrive in Poland on Saturday and stay until Monday.
On Sunday, Trump and his wife Melania will attend ceremonies in Warsaw to commemorate the WWII anniversary.
The next day the Polish and US presidents are slated to sit down for face-to-face talks.
Trump is expected to be accompanied to Warsaw by Defence Secretary Mark Esper and State Secretary Mike Pompeo, the IAR news agency reported.
Poland has introduced a security alert ahead of the arrival of a slew of foreign leaders including Trump to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II.
Twenty presidents and senior officials from abroad as well as the US first couple are expected to take part in ceremonies in the Polish capital on Sunday.
Trump’s trip to Poland will mark his second visit to the country as president.
He previously traveled to Warsaw in July 2017.
Trump in June hosted Poland's Duda at the White House, a meeting during which the two presidents approved plans for a stepped-up American military presence in Poland.
