The Women Leadership Forum conference has been organised by the Romanian embassy in Warsaw, together with the Polish-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Romanian Institute of Culture.
The event, which began on Wednesday and runs until Thursday, is being held under the auspices of Romanian Crown Princess Margareta. It aims to help develop economic relations between Poland and Romania, with a particular emphasis on the role of women in politics, business and education.
Princess Margareta and Prince Radu are guests of honour at the forum, which is expected to enable businesspeople from Poland and Romania to establish contacts and bilateral trade ties.
While in Poland, the Romanian royals will also take part in other events.
On Thursday, Princess Margareta is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies in Warsaw, focusing on the empowerment of women and their participation in public life.
She will also present Romanian royal decorations to three women who took part in Poland’s 1944 Warsaw Uprising against the Germans.
On Friday, the Romanian royals are expected to meet with students at the University of Warsaw, where Prince Radu is scheduled to address the gathering.
