Poland’s Central Bureau of Police Investigation (CBŚP) said the gang transferred its profits to Poland, where they were invested in real estate.
The bureau said it had detained a 32-year-old resident of the eastern Polish city of Białystok who is suspected of heading the gang.
It added that, as part of a joint operation with Polish officers last week, British police detained five Polish citizens aged 29 to 55.
Polish investigators said the gang may have operated since 2019, running escort agencies employing several dozen women of various nationalities.
