The Russian, Leonid Sviridov, has been banned from entering Poland and the Schengen area until December 2025, said Stanisław Żaryn, the spokesman for Poland’s security services chief.

"In 2015-2020, Sviridov continued his activities for aggressive Russian propaganda aimed at the interests of the Republic of Poland, Polish raison d'etat and the image of Poland on the international arena," Żaryn said in a statement.

He added: "Some Russian journalists are used for aggressive information actions conducted by the Russian Federation against Poland, NATO countries and the West. Poland is one of the main targets of the information warfare waged by Russia."

Sviridov was in December 2015 "entered on the list of persons whose stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland is undesirable," according to Żaryn.

Earlier this month, Poland’s security services said they had banned Evgeniy Reshetnev, a Russian national claiming to be a reporter, from entering their country.
