The talks, officially referred to as intergovernmental consultations, will be led by Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Spain’s Pedro Sánchez, state news agency PAP has reported.

The main topics of the talks will include "coordination of efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, climate policy, migration challenges, and neighbourhood policy as well as bilateral economic, educational and cultural cooperation," Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller has told reporters.

He added that Spain was the fifth-largest foreign investor in Poland and that the most promising areas of bilateral cooperation included smart city technology, drones and the agri-food sector.
