NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that “NATO is not going to be part of the conflict, so NATO is not going to send troops into Ukraine, or move planes into Ukrainian airspace.”

Polish President Andrzej Duda told reporters that Poland was “not sending any jets to Ukraine because that would open military interference in the Ukrainian conflict.”

“We are not joining that conflict, NATO is not a part in that conflict,” Duda said.

The Polish president added that his country was supporting Ukraine with humanitarian help.

More than 327,000 people have crossed into Poland from Ukraine since Russia invaded last Thursday, the Polish prime minister's office said late on Monday.

The Polish interior minister said on Sunday that Poland would provide shelter to the families of Ukrainian fighters defending their country against invading Russian forces.
