UN: "gross violations of human rights" by Russia

142 civilian executions, torture and sexual violence are only some of the major breaches of international law committed by Russia in Ukraine, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk.

Turk has sought to remind the world of human rights violations at a moment when Ukraine's allies have been showing signs of "compassion fatigue":
